The location of the property is on a main waterway. When the wrap around deck and boat lift were installed we needed to obtain permission from the (DEP) Department of Environmental Protection. When the DEP Permit was granted we were able to proceed with the City of Marco Island Building Dept. permit. The pointed cone tops on the pilings were added to keep pelicans and large birds from perching on top and defacing the walkway.
